SAT San Cayetano has an exhaustive quality policy that it applies to both the production and marketing of its fruit and vegetables. In this sense, as a leading company in the fruit and vegetable sector, it is adapted to the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Standards and to the GLOBAL GAP, BRC, IFS, QS, NURTURE, SIMETA and HACCP Quality Protocols.

At the same time, this company is characterised by having worked intensively in the production of fruit and vegetables under integrated production techniques, respecting the environment and reducing waste, applying serious and rigorous work framed within the philosophy of the ‘Clean Agriculture Programme’ promoted by the Regional Ministry of Agriculture and Water.

CDTA El Mirador

Through the CDTA El Mirador, we carry out work aimed at introducing new technologies in the agricultural sector with the aim of achieving competitive production, higher quality and health guarantees. By carrying out experiments under the same agro-climatic conditions as in the production area, we are able to transfer the results quickly and apply them effectively on farms in the area of influence.

Tests are carried out on new species and varieties tolerant to viruses, innovative cultivation techniques, integrated pest and disease control, rational use of water and nutrients, etc., always applying technologies that allow greater control of the production process, within the framework of sustainable agriculture that respects the environment.

Environmental protection ring

We are also trustees of the Ingenio Foundation, through which we are developing the Environmental Protection Ring to solve the problems of discharges into the Mar Menor. This includes a series of measures to prevent the entry of water from rainfall and DANAs, which are becoming increasingly frequent. It also contemplates actions to extract groundwater loaded with urban waste, nutrients, slurry and other pollutant sources originating in the different feeding zones of the quaternary aquifer, and which are discharged into the salt lagoon.
