The San Cayetano Agricultural Processing Company (S.A.T. San Cayetano) was officially incorporated on 27 October 1975, bringing together 10 farmers from the municipal district of Torre Pacheco (Murcia) and an initial production of 764 Tm.
Three decades later, the company has become an international reference in fruit and vegetable produce of the highest food quality and safety, whose main product is the pepper.
The evolution of S.A.T. San Cayetano has been spectacular; it currently has 141 members, 2,188 hectares under cultivation and a marketing turnover of 78,000 tonnes of fruits and vegetables, and an annual invoicing figure of around €35M.

San Cayetano applies an exhaustive quality policy both in the production and marketing of its fruits and vegetables. Therefore, as a leading company in the fruit and vegetable sector, it complies with ISO 9001 and the EUREP GAP, BRC, IFS, QS and Nature’s Choice protocols and APPCC standards.
At the same time this company is characterised for having worked intensively on the cultivation of fruits and vegetables using environment and with waste reduction, applying serious and rigorous endeavours within the framework of the ‘’Clean Agriculture Programme’’ philosophy, launched by the Regional Government Agriculture and Water Department.
Since its foundation, supply concentration has been another of the aims addressed by the S.A.T. San Cayetano. As a consequence of this, the company was accredited as Fruit and Vegetable Production Organisation (Spanish initials OPFH) number 43 in 1987. In line with this objective, for five years the firm has been a member of the Grupo Hortberia, S.A. export consortium, of which it is a founder member.
The S.A.T. San Cayetano markets its fruits and vegetables I the European Union, the United States and Asia. The company’s marketing policy is based on marketing schedules with firm prices, addressed at the large distribution chains.
