Harvest without soil
The project “Cultivation without soil and adaptation of California pepper variety” was developed by S.A.T San Cayetano and selected by C.D.T.I (Autonomous Organ of the Ministry of Industry). With this project the elimination of the use of Methyl Bromide in pepper culture has been achieved.

The planting of pepper in Murcia by using the agricultural soil as a support of cultivation carries a great risk of infection and transition of pathogens.
Season Cultivation Pepper
To combat these infections and pathogens Methyl Bromide is used, but because it is one of the substances that destroy the ozone layer, it is necessary to look for alternatives that protect the planet.
Decrease in the amount of stratospheric ozone in some sectors of the layer
The need for a new environmentally friendly solution causes S.A.T San Cayetano to develop its "Soilless Cultivation" system, where greenhouse pepper is presented as an ecological alternative to Methyl Bromide.

To preserve the planet.
"Harvest without soil" is a cost-effective and extensible system for most farmers. In addition, this technique is used by implanting new varieties of pepper in the Region, as is the case of the California-type thick beef.
Exponential growth in the implantation of this new system of culture.

The Alpi system
The main aim of the ‘’Alpi’’ fast refrigeration system for whole or split fruits, vegetables and other products is to length then the life of fruit and vegetable produce in order to improve its quality.
It consists of a set of components located in one or various enclosures comprising one or several cooling batteries, one or several ventilators that sucks air from ‘’plenum’’ or tunnel, whose sides are formed by the containers holding the product to be cooled; it is covered by a plastic, natural or any other kind of fabric tarpaulin, the aim of which is to force air to pass only through the product to be cooled to the ‘’plenum’’ or tunnel formed by the containers and the enclosure floor.
